It's International Women's Day! 

To celebrate, we are highlighting some of our events featuring a few of our amazing female current and former members.


2023 Women's Lecture

On Thursday 23rd February, we hosted our annual Women's Lecture. 

The talk was given by Old Member and CEO of the Crown Prosecution Service Rebecca Lawrence (PPE, 1989) on the topic of 'Leadership and what New College taught me'. 

It was an excellent and inspiring talk, filled not only with excellent advice on leadership but also Rebecca's memories and experiences of New College both as a student and as an Old Member, including some 2nd year students bringing back pieces of the Berlin Wall the day after it had fallen!

In Conversation with Kate Mosse

New College Society London Lecture with Prof Frances Kirwan

The New College Society warmly invites Old Members (and a guest), to a London Lecture entitled, 'Four centuries of geometry in Oxford and New College', to be given this year by Professor Frances Kirwan, DBE FRS, Savilian Professor of Geometry.

It will be held at the London School of Economics in their Alumni Theatre, a tiered lecture theatre, on the lower ground floor of the New Academic Building on Sardinia Street, Lincoln’s Inn Fields, WC2A 3LJ, on Tuesday 9 May 2023. There will be a drinks and canapés reception at 6:00pm, followed by a talk at 7.00pm.
