Wykeham Professor of Physics

New College is pleased to welcome the appointment of Professor Shivaji Sondhi of the University of Princeton as Wykeham Professor of Physics. He will in addition hold the University titles of Leverhulme International Professor of Physics and Tencent Chair of Theoretical Physics.  

Professor Sondhi will be the seventh individual to hold the Chair, which is associated with New College. The post has remained vacant since 2008.
