Sultana Tafadar, KC speaks at the Annual New College Law Society dinner

The Annual New College Law Society dinner took place on Thursday in Dartmouth House, Mayfair, the home of the English Speaking Union, of which the Warden is Chair. Some 46 students and 26 old members attended.

The guest of honour was Sultana Tafadar KC, the first hijab-wearing criminal barrister to be appointed King’s Council and the founder of the Girls’ Human Rights Hub. She spoke about her experiences of the Bar and becoming a Silk, including the challenges she has overcome. Thanks to Seren Bruce for the seamless organisation. A very convivial evening was had by all.
