New College Choir's latest CD garners wonderful reviews

New College Choir's latest CD, New Commissions, which features music commissioned for the choir, has just garnered a wonderful review in Opera Today. 

The disc is a fitting tribute to the extraordinary ambition of New College’s directors of music in championing the best and most exciting of contemporary writing of sacred choral music.  The choir is described as "one of the finest Collegiate ensembles in the UK".

A commission from Toby Young for the installation of the Warden in 2016 wins particular praise: "its glittering organ-writing and shape-shifting harmonies make a thrilling conclusion to a fascinating CD that is well worth exploring where attentive listening will be amply rewarded. The choir are on fine form and Linn’s engineers provide excellent sound".
