Diversity Dinner: Celebrating Faith and Ethnic Minorities

New College Old Members and a guest are warmly invited to attend the New College Diversity Dinner: celebrating faith and ethnic minorities at New College on Saturday 31st January 2026.
The evening will begin at 6.30pm with a drinks reception, followed by dinner, at 7.15pm, both in the Founder’s Library.
We are delighted to confirm that New College Old Member, Mr Franklin Nelson (2017 BA Modern Languages) (pictured above), will be the guest speaker.
Dress code: smart casual
The cost of the dinner is £80.00 per person.

About the speaker:
Franklin Nelson is a writer and editor at the Financial Times. He joined the paper six months after graduating in 2021 from New College, where he read modern languages. At New College, Franklin was a Laidlaw Scholar and chair of the JCR, and TKTK the inaugural equality and diversity essay competition. Since leaving Oxford, he has served as a trustee of the Alliance Française in Cambridge.
