This year’s Christmas card is illustrated with an image reproduced from New College Library’s exquisitely illuminated manuscript Book of Hours (Paris, c. 1500), for the use of Amiens—in Latin and French.
The manuscript was donated to the Library in 1983 by eminent surgeon Sir John Charles Nicholson (1904–1986), who matriculated from New College in 1923.
