I joined New College in September 2021 – so very recently!

I am the College's Outreach Officer and my role has me travelling all over the UK, delivering the Step-Up programme to state schools across the country. When not on the road, I’m in New College delivering Step-Up events and other Outreach activities. I get to meet an incredibly diverse range of students from all walks of life, and introduce them to Oxford.

I’m originally from North Wales. I spent most of my childhood working on fairgrounds, as that was our family business. My family didn’t have a history of formal education, so growing up we were taught all sorts of practical stuff. I came to Oxford in 2012 to read English at Trinity College, and had so much fun. Since then I have completed an MBA in Management and a graduate diploma in History of Art.

Starting at New College was a really lovely experience. It’s an achingly beautiful place to work in, and my new work colleagues have been so welcoming. My favourite thing about the College is the genuinely lovely people. Getting to eat in the Hall that was used in Mamma Mia 2 doesn’t hurt either!

Outside of work, I love visiting museums, watching Star Trek, and reading my favourite author Ursula Le Guin.
