We are very happy to welcome groups of prospective applicants to the college to find out more about Oxford. These visits usually include an introduction to the University by the Access Administrator, Daniel Powell, a Q+A session with current undergraduates, a tour of the college and the opportunity to take part in a skills workshop or academic taster session. We provide lunch and refreshments, and in some cases, we can also arrange additional tours of other colleges and department.
We are very happy to adapt our programme to suit your group's individual requirements, so please do discuss your needs with the Access Administrator. To book a visit or discuss what might be available, simply email Daniel Powell at email@example.com or call 01865 279512.
Visiting your School or College
The Access Administrator is happy to visit UK schools and colleges to talk to any Sixth Formers who are interested in applying to Oxford, or to talk to younger pupils about the importance of GCSE and A-level choices, the University of Oxford, and Higher Education generally. The Access Administrator can provide talks, workshops, and Q+A sessions on a variety of topics, which we can adjust to suit your needs. In the past we have a covered topics such as interviews at Oxford, UCAS personal statements, GCSE subject choices, choosing an Oxford College, and admissions tests. If possible she may also bring a current undergraduate student along to answer questions.
If you would like us to visit your school or college, please contact Daniel Powell at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01865 279512.If possible, we ask for there to be a minimum group size of 10 students per session, so it may sometimes be appropriate for schools and colleges in the same area to host a joint event, bringing together pupils that are thinking about applying to Oxford. The Access Administrator is happy to help you approach other schools in your area if you would like to host this kind of event.
Oxford Pathways Programme
The College also supports the Oxford Pathways Programme for students in Years 10 to 12. The Pathways Programme is an initiative coordinated by the Colleges of the University of Oxford, with support from the Sutton Trust. The programme aims to provide information, advice and guidance on higher education and Oxford to academically able students, and staff members, in non-selective state schools with little history of student progression to Oxford. All of their events are run in Oxford, and are free to attend.
