Graduate Admissions

We admit approximately 100 graduates every year, of whom some are New College undergraduates staying on to do graduate work. Admission is on the basis of academic merit, subject to the College's desire to accept candidates in a broad range of disciplines for a wide range of courses; some preference is given to candidates who wish to work in subject areas or take courses in which a Fellow of the College takes a particular interest.

Applying to New College

To apply to New College, applicants must apply to the Oxford University following the procedure described on the University website, and nominate New College as their first choice college. They must first be accepted by the department or faculty in which they wish to study. Their applications will then be considered by the college(s) chosen.
