Prof Karen Leeder to take up Schwarz Taylor Chair

Prof Karen Leeder will be leaving New College next year to take up the Schwarz Taylor Chair of the German Language and Literature. 

While we are of course sad that Karen will be leaving New College, we are delighted that she will be staying at the University of Oxford and wish her all the best in her new position. 

'I have so enjoyed my now nearly thirty years at New College. It has been a privilege working with such wonderful colleagues and generations of students. But I look forward to my new role and reaching new audiences for German culture and promoting the place of German in a national and international context.'

Prof Leeder will take up her new post on 1st October 2022.
