Luke Hatton, winner of Engineering Award

Luke, who has now completed his studies at New College, said:

'I'm really proud to have been selected as the category winner for Energy, and it was great to be able to present my research to alumni, research staff and external judges during the annual Lubbock Lecture in the Natural History Museum.  I thoroughly enjoyed my fourth year project and so the process of compiling all my work into an accessible format was very satisfying for me - winning the prize was an added bonus!

I'd like to thank my supervisors, Professor Rene Banares-Alcantara and Dr Sarah Sparrow for their support over the course of this year and for the opportunity to initiate this project on a topic of my choosing'.

Well done, Luke!
