Wreaths laid in the Cloisters

New College Remembrance Service

New College held a Remembrance Service at 11:00 this morning in the Cloisters.

With staff and students lining the walls of the Cloisters, a minute's silence was held before the Chaplain read several moving poems. The Warden read a letter from a Fellow, written during the First World War shortly before the writer's death, communicating just how much the College meant to him. Wreaths were then laid under the Memorial in the Cloisters by the Warden, Home Bursar, JCR President, and MCR President.
