New College Notes—issue 14 now published

Issue 14 of New College, Oxford’s scholarly open-access e-journal New College Notes (ISSN 2517–6935) is now published.

 

This latest issue includes articles on: Catholics associated with New College during the Reformation period; rich collections in New College Library on the Russo-Japanese War, thanks largely to two 20th-century bequests; New College fellow William Courtney, author of The Feminine Note in Fiction (1904); and Edward Bernard (1638–1697) Savilian Professor of Astronomy and his books in New College Library.

 

New College Notes is dedicated to learned notes (in the style of the Oxford journal Notes & Queries) and to scholarly articles on college history and the rich collections of New College Library and Archives, Oxford.  Potential contributors are invited to contact the Librarian.
