A big week for Beth!

Congratulations on two fronts to New College's Bethan Psaila

Not only was she promoted to the role of Associate Professor in Haematology last week, but she was also senior author on a paper published in Cell Reports: 'Transitions in lineage specification and gene regulatory networks in hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells over human development'. This showed that changes in blood cell production over the human lifetime may hold clues to patterns of disease.

“This was a hugely enjoyable project. Working collaboratively with multiple research groups enabled us to access precious samples from healthy individuals at multiple timepoints over the human lifetime, generating a unique dataset of blood stem and progenitor cells.”
