How to Register - UK Students

New College requires all UK students enrolled for degree or diploma courses to register under the NHS (or make private arrangements) with an Oxford doctor and to notify College of the name of this doctor.

UK students should remain registered in Oxford for the duration of their course, but will be able to obtain treatment elsewhere, for example during the vacations, as a temporary resident. The purpose of this arrangement is to ensure that proper medical care is available to you from the time you enter College.

The College Doctors, Dr Clare Stephenson, Dr Chloe Borton & Dr Matthew Easdale, have agreed to accept any member of the College who is resident in the UK for longer than 6 months as an NHS patient. Their practice is at 28 Beaumont Street (01865) 311811 www.28beaumontstreet.co.uk, and they hold a surgery in College at 1 NB in term times.

You will be expected to register in person with the doctors on Monday of 1st week in New College, Lecture Room 6.  Please note that you should bring your UK medical card with you if you have one.
