Lisa Wang is a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Consultant and Public Speaker with a particular focus on the UK’s East and South-East Asian (ESEA) communities, which includes but is not limited to people of Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Singaporean and Malaysian descent. Lisa studied Philosophy and French at New College. She now leads on race equality policy at City Hall within the Greater London Authority.

Lisa brings lived experience and decolonised approach to her work as a community leader and EDI consultant and is guided by her purpose to reduce inequities for minoritised communities. She was first drawn to her work after understanding how her cultural background and ethnicity as a minority in the UK impacted her sense of belonging and wellbeing growing up in the UK as a British-Chinese diaspora. This eventually led her to become a Global Mental Health ambassador, creating resources on culturally sensitive mental health.

She is also the co-author of a book on the experiences of marginalised communities during Covid entitled, ‘The Colour of Covid’. Lisa speaks and writes on intercultural and intergenerational East and South-East Asian experiences through podcasts, public-speaking events and creative writing projects.
