Sarah is a Junior Research Fellow in Mathematics. She was an undergraduate student at Clare College, Cambridge and received her MMath (Part III) in 2013. She was a graduate student at St John’s College, Oxford, and submitted her DPhil thesis in 2016.
Sarah works in Probability theory, mostly on stochastic processes related to population genetics. In particular, she is interested in the interplay between natural selection, migration and the randomness due to reproduction in models of spatially structured populations. This often involves studying branching processes of particles moving in space and interacting with each other.
