Herbert Nicholas Junior Research Fellowship in Politics
The College invites applications for this Junior Research Fellowship, tenable for a fixed period of three years from 1 October 2018. The person appointed will be expected to undertake advanced research in the field of Politics.
Fellowship applicants will have completed, or at least submitted, a PhD/DPhil at the time of taking up the post, and may not previously have held a Junior Research Fellowship or comparable post-doc position of more than two years (excluding breaks for parental/caring leave etc). Applicants must, if non-EU, obtain an appropriate visa which also permits them to teach as the appointee will be required to undertake up to six hours per week in term of tutorial and class teaching for the College in the area of Politics.
The Fellowship carries a stipend of £21,644 p.a. (subject to annual review). In addition, the Fellow will be entitled to a housing allowance (£2,025 p.a.) or to live in College accommodation free of charge if suitable rooms are available, to meals in College, and to entertainment, research and book allowances.
