Student loan

When you arrive at New College, please call by Lecture Room 6 to confirm your attendance, i.e. to complete the second part of your registration with the University. Your student loan will then be released to your bank account. The loan can take up to four days to arrive in your account.

If you have a query with your loan after your attendance has been confirmed, please contact Linda Goodsell in the Bursary.

Battels

Battels are bills that are sent to College members at the beginning of each term, listing the charges payable to the college.

Battels can include:

  • accommodation and catering charges
  • vacation residence
  • meals you have taken in college
  • JCR fees
  • photocopying
  • numerous other smaller charges

How to pay

All battels statements will be sent by email during 0th week of each term. Payment in full must be made by Friday of 1st week.

  • Cheque

Cheques should be made payable to ‘New College’.  If you are paying both fees and battels we will require two separate cheques. Cheques may be left in the letter box outside the Bursary at any time, or posted in the internal mail.
