College Librarian - Full time

The current Librarian of New College is retiring after 17 years in post. The Governing Body of the College is seeking a highly motivated, experienced successor who can sustain and build on her work. The post has a dual remit of providing an excellent service to the current students and academics as well as making the extensive Special Collections accessible to all bona fide researchers.

This is a senior role within the College with responsibility for the Library and Archives and the appointment will be made, subject to qualifications and experience, on equivalent to Grade 8 of the University’s scale. A degree or diploma in Library or Information Management is essential. Benefits include membership of the Senior Common Room and the option to join the USS pension scheme.
